The Geography of Joy

Joy isn't an emotion you can force; it is a byproduct of a location. Psalm 16:11 reveals that fullness of joy only exists in one place: His presence.

1. Partial Happiness vs Full Joy

פָּנִים

PANIM (Presence/Face)

"The face of God"

Joy requires facing Him. Turning away causes the shadow of emptiness.

שֹׂבַע

SOBA (Fullness)

"Satiety / Satisfaction"

Being filled to the brim. A state where craving ceases because you have enough.

2. The Satisfaction Curve

Earthly pursuits provide sharp spikes of happiness followed by rapid decay into emptiness. Time spent in the Presence creates a steady, compounding baseline of deep joy.

3. Proximity to the Source
